Cailler Swiss Chocolate

Earlier this week, I got to attend an amazing event for Cailler Swiss Chocolate. They have a pop-up shop for the holidays that’s located in Union Square (117 Post St.). It’s the perfect location and central to all of the holiday shopping stops!

Since I finished my “cleanse,” I have been indulging in some holiday treats. After all the Barry’s classes I’ve done this month, I definitely deserve it. Who doesn’t love a great piece of chocolate? The pop-up shop was so much fun! The food and wine pairings were done by one of my favorite SF restaurants A16, I ate all the tartare and crab cakes! I finally got to meet one of my Instagram friends, Life by Sylvie, so that was amazing too!

They have a chocolate tasting bar — which I sat at literally all night, personalized decoupage holiday cards, and they are currently featuring the Winter Collection. They are currently doing a gift with purchase promotion so be sure to check out the pop-up shop (event details here). And if you can’t make it into the pop-up shop — be sure to shop Cailler Chocolate on Amazon here.

A little bit about the brand: Cailler has been “home of Swiss chocolate” for almost 200 years. Cailler crafts all of its premium Swiss chocolate in house – from bean to bar – with recipes and techniques perfected over generations. Maison Cailler, located in the foothills of the Swiss Alps is the only place in the world Cailler is made. You can even take a trip there via virtual reality at the pop-up shop!

Milk used in Cailler milk chocolate comes from local Swiss Farms located within 20 miles of Maison Cailler. Cailler uses only cocoa beans from the Nestlé Cocoa Plan, an initiative to help farmers run profitable farms, improve social conditions in cocoa-growing communities and source high quality, sustainable cocoa. We love this sustainability factor. True to the brand’s Swiss heritage, the front of each Cailler box displays hand-designed artwork by paper-cut artist, Marianne Dubuis. Each design tells a part of the Cailler story. Cailler is available in boxes and bars.

I’ve mentioned a few times before that my dad is so hard to shop for! Well spoiler alert, I bought him some amazing chocolate to put under the tree. If you have someone like this in your life — chocolate is an amazing “go-to” gift idea! As a teacher, I always receive sweet treats as gifts this time of year, and I love it!
