William’s Baptism

This past weekend, our sweet little William was baptized.

It was one of those things that we have been meaning to do for some time now, but… I’ll take the blame and tell you that I really dragged my feet about setting a date. :/ Thankfully, this new baby on the immediate horizon forced me to get serious and to finally take the necessary steps to get it done. I couldn’t have the baby and William baptized at the same time… or could I have? Hmmm…

Anyhow…

About a month ago, I realized that time was running out, and I went to work to get everything in order. We decided the baptism would be at a church in the mountains – halfway between our home and Lake Tahoe. Joe’s Dad flew in from Nebraska, my dad make the trek across town in the snow, William’s godparents braved a blizzard to be there. It couldn’t have been more perfect, and we are so thankful.

Our little man got baptized, we were surrounded by people we love, and the Father even blessed my delivery and our little unborn baby too.

All in all, it was a wonderful weekend, a beautiful ceremony, and we couldn’t have asked for more.
