Conrad Chicago: Why You Should Stay Here

Ashley Zeal from Two Peas in a Prada shares her stay at The Conrad Chicago

Conrad Hotels have definitely become one of my favorite places to stay. If you remember back in February, I stayed at the Conrad New York for Fashion Week, and I fell in love. When we booked our girls trip to Chicago, I knew we needed to stay at their new location (they recently relocated). The months leading up to their trip, I stalked their Instagram and started getting so excited! The Conrad Chicago definitely didn’t disappoint, and I will be staying there whenever I go back.

When we checked in, they had champagne waiting in the room for us. I just love nice touches like this. The Conrad Chicago team went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay. Not only is the property stunning, but everyone that works there is so kind. That’s one of the things I love most about the Midwest; everyone is just so nice. Something that I rarely get to experience back home in San Francisco.

As you can see, the rooms were very spacious. I was staying with two of my girlfriends, and it never felt too small or claustrophobic. Normally when I’m on trips, I try and spend as little time in the room as possible. But the Conrad Chicago was so gorgeous, we scheduled in chill time at the hotel into each one of our days.

We had breakfast at their restaurant, Baptiste & Bottle most days we were there. They start the meal off with a little glass of their juice of the day — it was such a nice touch! And we appreciated all the healthy breakfast options.

The Conrad Chicago was the perfect location — we were able to walk most places, which was amazing. It’s just a block off Michigan Avenue, and only steps away from my favorite place in Chicago — Garett’s Popcorn! This was especially convenient for us because we definitely packed all wrong. All of us had to go and buy cold weather gear while we were there — gloves, scarves, and jackets. It was nice to just run down the block and pick something up because it didn’t take much time off of all the other plans we had.

I packed this amazing bodycon dress with me, and luckily I wore it the first day because the rest of the days were SO cold! This dress is only $60 and it comes in six colors. Those are my favorite kind of pieces! It’s extremely flattering, they only had a size Medium in the store and I was nervous about it fitting, but it’s stretchy enough that the size was perfect!
