Right now, I am all about adding transitional pieces to my wardrobe. But… let’s be real… they have to be cheap transitional pieces, because this belly is growing every single day.
One of the transitional items that I am most in love with right now is this amazing $38 coat. At just $38, it is extremely budget friendly. So much so, in fact, that I didn’t feel bad about buying it in multiple colors. I love the way it drapes in the front, and I find myself reaching for it all the way through may. I also love that it comes in two lengths. It comes in this long version >>> here and this shorter version >>> here. I also love the variety of colors that it comes in. Literally you could have a different color for every day of the week.
The best part about this $38 coat is that it really pulls together any oufit. Whether you’re wearing a cocktail dress, or jeans and a tee -shirt, this trench is sure to finish off your look in THE most sophisticated way.
There are definitely more expensive versions of this coat that I would love to invest in – like this one here – but in my season of life (aka being pregnant or breastfeeding for the last 4 years) this $38 coat works with my budget and my ever changing body. <<< So thankful for this coat right about now!
Now – a brief life update for you – my husband turned 40 over the weekend, and I threw a HUGE surprise party for him. We’ll be sharing photos from the party next month. It was so wonderful, so much of his family flew in for it, and it was so fun to see the shock on his face. Next… as for Baby Caroline – yes, we are naming her Caroline (if you missed the announcement post >>>> head here) – she is doing well. I am finally feeling her move, and that is really amazing. My placenta is in the front (it has been with all the kids) so her kicking was very faint at first. But now, she makes herself known… very often.
Something else that is very exciting… I’m jumping on the health train. I am finally starting to exercise more, and to truly watch what I am eating. I have never been one to struggle with my weight, but I always gain “too” much weight during pregnancy. Not anything crazy, but I always gain over the 30-35 pounds they say you should gain. So, to be sure I don’t repeat past mistakes, I’m working with Ashley’s nutrition coach, and just a week of counting my Macros has been life changing. I even signed my husband up too. If you want to talk to Ashley/my trainer/nutritionist – you can contact her >>> firstname.lastname@example.org
That is it for me. Have a wonderful week, Loves!
