Here’s something no one knows about me: my very first word besides Mom & Dad was Macy’s. True story. Much to my father’s chagrin; but also my mom’s favorite story about me. Growing up in Reno, Macy’s was the only place to shop. So we went there. A lot. Macy’s has always been synonymous with the holidays for me. Whether it’s heading to Union Square on Black Friday, or spending the Macys gift card that my grandma has been buying me every year for the last thirty years, it’s not Christmas without Macy’s. This year, I teamed up with one of my favorite brands, 1.State, to share some of my favorite holiday looks.
Anyone else out there stay up the night of the Royal Wedding to watch Prince William and Kate get married? Well… I did. I actually remember tearing up at how beautiful she looked in that gown.
Needless to say, I have loved Kate Middleton from the very beginning. I am obsessed with her classic sense of style. For those of you who didn’t know, L.K. Bennet (they make the shoes in this post) is a British designer, and they make some of Kate Middleton’s favorite shoes.
Thank you to Zappos for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
Have you ever been so excited for something and then it gets here and you get over it real fast? Yeah, that’s me with boots at the moment. I spent all summer waiting for fall for sweater weather and boot season. But for some reason, boots are the last thing I’m reaching for right now. Maybe because it was in the high sixties / low seventies in San Francisco all last week. But these Aquatalia shoes have been lifesavers during this weird in-between weather.
Since we have started blogging, Thanksgiving has totally changed for us. While it is still about family, food, and football, Cyber Weekend strategy and planning now takes over the holiday. Now, I’m not complaining at all — because nothing brings me greater joy than finding amazing deals for you guys. That being said, Thanksgiving is now mostly a work day for me — which is an amazing excuse to keep it casual, which you know I am all about.
