As I mentioned here, I have a lot of bridal showers to attend this wedding season. This past weekend, I got to celebrate something very exciting. My dear friend Hiliary is getting married this July and her first bridal shower was on Saturday. It was hosted by two of our friends: Brannan and Taryn. Brannan just bought a beautiful condo in the Marina district of San Francisco. It was absolutely perfect for the occasion and they did the most amazing job planning the shower. They truly thought of everything- even customized M&Ms with the groom’s face on them!
We are lucky enough to have an amazing circle of girlfriends- they are ambitious, motivated, inspiring and incredibly hard working. The flowers and the food were both done by mutual friends- women who have started their own businesses. Brigitte Scharetg from Butterfield Road did the catering- and she nailed it. The food was all local, organic healthy and most importantly- delicious.

The menu consisted of:
Avocado toast points with sliced radishes and sea salt, a shaved summer squash salad with pecorino and lemon vinaigrette,  a delicious blend of faro, quinoa, asparagus, ricotta salata, with meyer lemon sauce,  parsley and panko crusted chicken scaloppini and finally a flourless chocolate cake with raspberries and cream for dessert.

Charlotte Pope did the flowers. They were arranged perfectly and presented in the most adorable gold vases. The flowers matched the vibe perfectly and really tied everything together. I have seen and admired photos of Charlotte’s work before but it was so much better in person! If you live in the bay area and need flowers or catering- these two ladies are your best bet!

The shower turned out perfectly. One of the girls attending said it best, “Hiliary makes me feel like home.” And she really does. It was so great to celebrate her happiness and her future with Jon. And plus, who really can complain about a bridal shower that ends with taking shots, an outfit change and an impromptu dance party?
