Blogger Friends

One of the things Emily and I both love most about blogging is all of the amazing new blogger friends we have met along the way.

When we first started, I thought that blogging would be competitive, catty, and ruthless. But it has surprisingly been the opposite. We have met so many amazing new and incredible women along our journey. While some of these friends are “internet friends” — it still feels as if we know them from following them on Instagram, Snapchat, and of course, reading their blogs.

When we went to the Simply Stylist conference in L.A., we met Bianca from Beyond Casual. She was so sweet & we ended up spending the whole day with her. Well, lucky for me, she lives in the Bay Area and we have become pretty close friends! It’s so nice to be able to hang out with other girls who understand the importance of shooting your food before eating it, and to never pass up an opportunity in front of a “perfect blogger wall.”

Bianca is very resourceful! She is the one who connected me with my new photographer, Nathalie Bize. And she also got us these amazing bags to borrow from Camino Brands. It’s so much more fun shooting with someone else- and we had a blast shooting the bags together in Walnut Creek.

I am absolutely obsessed with this t-shirt. And it is finally online! It’s available in three colors and the lace up detail is such a fun way to make this not just a basic white t-shirt. Not to mention it’s only $38! I have been wearing it all summer long — and I might even buy the black one as well. On our Two Year Giveaway on Instagram, a reader asked for more casual outfits that can be worn every day– and this is pretty much my uniform. Whenever I’m not at work, I LOVE to wear my ripped boyfriend jeans, a t-shirt and some strappy sandals. It’s super easy, but still fashionable.
