We hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend! We have a HUGE week coming up, so be sure to check back here regularly. From the fashion show we styled this past weekend, to an amazing breakfast burrito recipe, to my favorite new floral maxi, to Ashley’s choker top obsession… we’ve got it all this week.
But first… some exciting news. I taped my very first podcast a couple of weeks ago! If you know anything about Ashley and I, you know that we love supporting other women who are putting themselves out there, and in turn are doing amazing things. #womensupportingwomen <<< we live by this. So when two, lovely, local, Reno ladies approached me about taping for their brand new podcast, I agreed immediately.
The hosts of “The Biggest Little Realcast” – are Shivani Peterson, a Mortgage Advisor, and Christina York, a Realtor. Much like Ashley and I, they are friends who have decided to go into business together. Even though I didn’t know either of them before creating this segment, after various emails, and chatting during taping, I knew I had made two, wonderful, new friends. We had SO much fun taping this “realcast”, that we decided to meet for wine a week later to continue the conversation. As it turns out, we are all new moms, we all have little boys, and they were all born within months of each other. What’s more — we’re working moms, we’re entrepreneurs, and we all love the town we live in. To say we had A TON to talk about is a complete understatement. Sometimes you meet people, and you just know. You know they’re your kind of people, you know they’re going to do great things, and you know that you want to support them in any way you can. That is how I feel about these ladies, and I hope you feel the same.
As for the podcast – it’s 15 minutes long – which I find to be THE perfect length, and they’re covering everything REAL. Hence the reason they call it “The Biggest Little Realcast“. In their own words, they’re sharing how they build, “their lives, their businesses and their families… one escrow, one diaper, one day at time.” <<< I love that. In my episode – I dish about my husband, the business of blogging, and how we’ve proved everyone wrong who doubted us. <<< Talk about being real. 🙂
