Holy Cow! How is it August already? I cannot believe how fast the summer is flying by. The first of August, to me, always means that it’s time to start thinking about fall. Maybe it’s not time to start dressing like it’s fall YET, but it’s definitely time to start stocking up on booties and transitional pieces that will take you into the next season effortlessly.
One of the items I HAVE to have in my closet for fall is a good military jacket. The one I’m wearing in these photos is from the #Nsale, but it sold out almost immediately. Sad. But, thankfully a million other retailers are showing similar ones this season, and I shopped all my favorite ones for you.
The best part about the military jacket is that it looks amazing with literally everything. It acts as an additional layer for warmth, but it also adds a level of sophistication to every outfit. I love wearing mine layered over dresses, as you see here, for an easy yet pulled together look. To switch it up, or to give my outfit a little more definition, I’ll wrap it around my waist. For work, I’ll throw it over a white button down and black pixie pants. For a causal look, I’ll pair it with a v-neck-tee and boyfriend jeans. And for a simple, end of summer look, I’ll drape it over a short romper. The possibilities are endless with the military jacket and if you don’t have one in your closet, I sincerely hope you shop this post.

Too cute! I have a military jacket from Aritzia that I’m obsessed with. Couldn’t agree more that it just goes with everything. I especially love this dress though! And at $20 it’s kind of a no brainer. What size are you wearing? Is the off the shoulder comfortable or do you feel like you’re constantly having to pull it up?
