Why I’m Team Trump

Before you attack me and leave rude comments, I am not talking about Donald! We have been a fan of Ivanka Trump’s for a long time. We love her brand, we love her business model, and we love what she is doing for women.

We were thrilled when her team reached out and asked if we wanted to be a part of their most recent #WomenWhoWork campaign.The campaign is centered around the multi-dimensional lives of women creating the lives they want to live. #WomenWhoWork features Ivanka, a stay at home mom, entrepreneur, and a teacher, empowering her students through special programs.

This campaign was appealing to us because we are also multi-dimensional working women. Like Ivanka Trump, we wear a lot of hats — for me, it’s teacher, writer, blogger, daughter, friend, boot camp addict, girlfriend, social media guru,  student, and currently working on adding author to that mix.

In the midst of all of the negative media her family has been getting, Ivanka has risen above. She has really done a good job setting herself apart and trying to help others along the way.  Ivanka Trump, despite her name, is still a mom, a business woman, and more importantly — someone who “does it all.”

She sent over this gorgeous bag (which includes a business card holder for all you #girlbosses) and also cards that were blank. I loved this because we got to choose our own message. Mine was Women Who Empower. That is one of the biggest reasons why I love being a blogger so much. I want women to feel empowered to be themselves, love themselves, and be authentic no matter what.

This outfit is perfect for the office. If you’re anything like me, I hate thinking about what I have to wear to work. These pants are called “treggings,” the perfect combination of trousers and leggings. They are my absolute favorite — they are super comfy, office appropriate, and extremely affordable. Seriously, buy these — and thank me later.  I love the shoes, they are just jazzy enough to wear on the weekends too — two birds, one stone!
