Last week I had the chance to experience something totally new to me! Samsung invited me down to their product innovation team labs in Mountain View, just an hour away from San Francisco. I got an inside look at their latest in home appliance innovations and the next day, I headed to the Pacific Coast Builders Conference to check out their booth, watch some demonstrations and experience the Chef Collection line first hand. I was truly amazed by all of the innovation I got to experience!
Since I am newly engaged, Joe and I have been talking a lot about what we want in the future. I have chatted with you guys about how expensive it is to live in the Bay Area, and I’m sorry if that is redundant because I know EVERYONE talks about it. But, we eventually want a family and a home of our own, so leaving the Bay Area might be in our near future. Of course, we could stay, but we would have to give up A LOT of space.
Seeing all of these Samsung Chef Collection appliances made me want to move out of here sooner rather than later. I am a sucker for technology and their connectivity between all of their appliances and devices is unparalleled. I’m not going to pretend I love to cook, but the truth is, I hate it because our kitchen is hideous, and I mean hideous. So, I try to stay out of there as much as possible.
In learning about all of the Chef Collection appliances, I saw myself in the kitchen, cooking, entertaining, chatting with friends, and catching up with Joe after a long day. I learned a lot in my two days with Samsung, but here are the highlights:
I absolutely fell in love with two of their refrigerators. One being the 4-Door French Door Panel Ready 42″ Built-In Chef Collection Refrigerator. Not only is it totally customizable (you can even make it look like a wall with shelves — check out the photos below!) but its lower right compartment switches from freezer to refrigerator for ultimate food storage flexibility. Meaning you can have three of the doors be a refrigerator, and one be a freezer, you can do two and two, etc.
The second one I loved was the 4-Door Flex™ with 21.5 in. Connected TouchScreen Family Hub™ Refrigerator. One of my girlfriends in Dallas has this and I am completely obsessed. The Family Hub technology truly connects your entire life. You can add things to your shopping cart, view the inside of your refrigerator while you’re at the grocery store, listen to your favorite podcast while you cook, search for recipes, see who is at your door using the Ring doorbell and so many more things!
Their ranges and ovens are also completely technology integrated as well. With Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capability so you can control everything from your smartphone. Everything they showed us was absolutely beautiful and now I have a new life goal.
