Monday Motivation Outfit

This is going to sound SO lame. But every Monday, I go on Pinterest and read some Monday Motivation quotes. It sounds so stupid, but I swear it works. Sometimes you just need that little extra kick to get you pumped on a Monday! I am going to share some of my favorites with you today. But first, a little bit about what has been going on in my life.

I know what you’re thinking, I work from home, I make my own schedule, I am my own boss, so why do I need Monday Motivation? The truth is, I spread myself too thin almost every day. And I am always burnt out, tired, and complaining. I don’t manage my stress well, at all. So this past month, I have really made a solid effort to achieve some balance in my life. And that is starting with focusing on not letting stress control me. Obviously, easier said than done. But I am taking time off when I need it, and I think that is helping immensely.

I can’t be everywhere at once, and I finally needed to prioritize my life, because I found myself with no time for the things I loved the most: Joe, reading, spending time with my friends, or going to the gym. I used to always measure success by who was the busiest; but now I am seeing clearly that successful people are the ones that have time to rest, recover, and regroup. And that is probably why they are successful.

I have been saying no to events, wearing less makeup, wearing leggings and comfy sweatshirts because I can, not doing my hair that often, and stopped feeling guilty about being selfish. And you know what? I feel so much happier. This is not the post I had intended to write at all, but sometimes I just need to let stuff out.
