day 1: new york fashion week

Today, I am sharing all about my stay at the fabulous Conrad New York. As you know from my bajillion fashion week posts, it is a very stressful week. The team at the Conrad made our time there SO easy. They had everything covered — and saved us so much time and effort.

Last season, we stayed in Midtown — it was SO far from everything, and to be honest, a huge inconvenience. I couldn’t have picked a more perfect location than the Conrad. There are so many amazing things within walking distance — a mall across the street, a Shake Shack downstairs, a Rite Aid just down the road. And within a mile of all the shows. This saved us so much time and energy.

When we checked in, we dropped our bags off and headed across the street to Blackwood Bagels. We were about 5 hours early for check-in, and they had our room ready for us within 30 minutes. I couldn’t believe the service.

We walked back over to get our keys and make our way to the room. I was in awe of how large the room was! If you know anything about NYC hotels, you know they are TINY — the original room I had booked was 147 sq feet — yeah, hard no on that. We had requested a rolling rack, and a mini fridge, and both were in our rooms by the time we got there. If you saw on Insta stories, we brought 27 coats with us — not an exaggeration. So this was definitely necessary.

In an effort to stay on track with being healthy on vacation, Pressed Juicery was kind enough to send over juices for us for the week — so we got the fridge for that. A girls trip is never complete without wine, so our friends at Seven Daughters stocked us up with wine for us to enjoy during our stay — and enjoy is an understatement. We had so much fun one night just sitting in the lobby with our wine having the best girls night. Fashion week also isn’t complete without some gorgeous blooms, so Bloomthat sent over the most gorgeous bouquet to welcome us. Thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome and at home!

The room was so spacious and amazing — there were three of us and it never once felt cramped. As you can see from the photos, the bathroom was gorgeous.

They hosted us for breakfast one morning at their restaurant, Atrio — and we had the best pancakes ever. My girlfriend said, “if all pancakes tasted like this, I’d eat them every day.” They also have a GORGEOUS view from their roof. During the summer, their roof transforms into a wine bar, Loopy Doopy — we are definitely going back for that!! It was closed, but they let us go up there for a photo shoot — come back tomorrow for all those photos!

The 9/11 memorial is right across the street. So one night, we walked over there because I had never seen the pools at night. It is always such a humbling experience. Plus, we got to check out the new Oculus, so that was amazing as well!

A huge thank you to everyone at the Conrad New York — we will definitely be back!!!
