This past weekend, Joe and I kicked off wedding season in Dallas, Texas. Dallas is one of my favorite cities in the US, and every time I visit, I always make new memories that I will cherish forever. This time, it was to see the wedding of Dana & Doug! We had a blast and got to spend some quality time with friends who we don’t get to see very often. It was Joe’s first time to Dallas, so I was really excited to show him around and take him to some of my favorite places.

Lace is so much more Emily than it is me. One of the best parts of blogging with your best friend is learning about trends you usually wouldn’t pay attention to. But we have both been experimenting a little bit with one another’s style. I finally convinced Emily to wear a choker and buy a co-ord set. And she pushes me to the more feminine side; think lace and pale pink.

This dress was more fun to wear than I thought it would be. It was good to get outside of my comfort zone a little bit. With the crazy Texas humidity, this lovely lace dress was the perfect choice. The bare lace overlay on the back and bottom of the dress was super airy & I was comfortable all night. I really wanted to take my new Chloe bag, but since it’s suede I was too nervous. Instead, I went with old faithful, my Gucci Disco Bag. I loved the contrast of the blush pink with the periwinkle… I was right on trend with the Pantone colors of the year and totally didn’t realize this until afterward. Oops!
We had such an amazing weekend and were really sad to go home. Congratulations again to Mr. & Mrs. Wegener. I will be posting a full Dallas recap on the blog next week. Texas forever!
