A question we get asked A LOT is “what does your day look like?” I am obsessed with other people’s morning routines and always read posts like this so I thought it would be fun to give you a little peek into a normal day for me. Since I work from home, I usually don’t change out of my pajamas until I have to leave the house – so it’s very important to me that they are comfy! My Morning Routine
My morning routine is my favorite part of the day. I find it to be very productive and there’s always something exciting going on. I normally wake up between 6 and 7 am. Sometimes a little later depending on my anxiety (it can keep me up ALL night), so on a good day, I will be asleep by 12 and up at 7. I love to start my day off on a positive note, so I always begin my morning by uploading some inspirational quotes to our stories. This has been such a fun routine we have started, and you guys all love it! This really starts the day off on the right note. When Joe leaves for work, I have my daily facetime with Kat. Since blogging can be a little lonely, we just touch base about our plans for the day, what we’re posting on the blog and plan for any shoots or events we have coming up that week.
Then, I take my vitamins and probiotic and try to chug a glass of water before I make my coffee. I always add collagen (more on collagen here) to my coffee and found that it has really made a difference in my skin! I also love using an Ember mug, so it stays hot all morning! After my coffee, I brush my teeth and wash my face. I always use my Vitamin C serum in the morning and use my Nurse Jamie roller to really depuff my face. I will be sharing my exact morning skincare routine on the blog next week -so more on that later.
After I have taken care of those necessities, my work day begins officially. Emily has got me in a really good habit of making a to-do list every day – so I will start this the night before, and add things to that list before I get started on tackling them.
While I’m drinking my coffee, I will put up the Daily 10 before I actually dive into our email and DMs. I normally try to plan all of our work calls for the morning, so I can have my day open for gym, appointments, etc. I use the reminders app on my phone!
I will sit and work for a few hours until I need to go to an appointment, photo shoot or workout – I am always sad about having to trade my pajamas for real clothes – especially this Calvin Klein set – it’s seriously the best! For sizing, I am wearing size Large in both. At this point I should make my bed – but it only happens like once a week. I’ll work on that!
