I absolutely love this dress… get it? “Olive it”? There are two types of people in this world: the kind who find something they love and buy it in every color, and the kind who don’t. Of course, I am the former. I have this dress in this gorgeous olive color, and also in black. And for $54, I don’t even feel guilty about having two. It isn’t often that you will find me in tight clothing (minus leggings). But this dress was a major exception. I wore the green one to one of my friend’s shows at Slide (a club in San Francisco) and I wore the black to Bunny’s rehearsal dinner, see here.
Ever since Nordstrom revamped their Savvy department, ASTR has been a go-to brand for me. I know if I have absolutely nothing to wear I can run to that department and figure something out. Most pieces are under $100, so the price point makes shopping even more tempting. If you are looking for a great staple item to help transition you into fall- this dress is definitely it! The color is perfect to take you from August to Autumn.
The body-con style is a super flattering look (trust me, I was surprised by this). I generally lean toward looser and more flowy type dresses but am really glad that I had the nerve to try this on. The knot accents and midi length give this classic look a very modern edge.
