The top three things I am trying to do more of in my life right now are 1.) spend more time with my kids 2.) be more intentional about parenting my children’s hearts and 3.) help others.

So when Turkey on the Table reached out and asked if we’d be interested in partnering – my first reaction was – “100%, Absolutely.” If it helps me do those three things ^^ I am all in – and it does just that.   Turkey on the Table is what I like to call the Thanksgiving Elf on the Shelf. It’s one of those things that can become an amazing family tradition – as it really is fun for everyone!

Each Turkey on the Table comes with a book, paper feathers and a pen. Every day before thanksgiving – we are personally doing one each night for the month of November – you write down something that you are thankful for on one of the turkey’s feathers. Not only is it a great exercise for kids, but it is great for adults as well. I think we all can use a little reminder now and then of how lucky we are. You can also buy replacement feathers for next year >> here.

What’s more …. every Turkey on the Table sold donates 10 meals to Feeding America. So not only are you teaching your children the importance of having grateful hearts – but you are also demonstrating an incredible act of charity and helping people in need. There truly is nothing better than that!

Turkey on the Table also makes THE BEST gift for the holiday season. I don’t know about you, but we have – A TON – of Friendsgiving events to go to this November. I will be giving this Turkey on the Table as hostess gifts – for sure! It is SUCH a fun tradition to share. I also think it’s a wonderful gift to give your kids’ teachers. That way they can incorporate it into their class if they want to – and you’re multiplying that grateful heart lesson tenfold!

The world needs SO much more positive in it. I am doing my best to raise children that are a part of it. Products like Turkey on the Table make teaching important life lessons easy, enjoyable, and as an added bonus, I feel good in knowing that I am helping someone too.

Before bed every night, I ask William what he wants to pray for. Every night he says – “Momma, I want you to start” so I start and say “Dear Lord – we want to say thank you so much for our beautiful family, our wonderful friends, and we are so grateful for this home over our heads.” Then it’s William’s turn. What started as him being  scared – has turned into the most beautiful and adorable 10 minutes of my day.

“Dear Dod… I want to say tank you for my beautiful family, my beautiful friends – especially Owiver Griggs, Max Pansky, Nora, Tenley, Awsher and Bix – and thank you for my beautiful home, my Gigi, my nana, my pop pop Tim, pop pop Brian, Jma and pop pop Terry… and all my beautiful family. And my beautiful dog Henry. Please bess David, me and Baby Taroline. And Dod, thank you so much for my beautiful toilet… A-mint.”

“How did I do momma?!?”

His grateful heart is coming right along. I know it is – and it makes me smile every singe day.

No matter how you pray, who you pray to… or if you pray —- Turkey on the Table reinforces everything that we, as parents, are trying to instill in our children. Thankfulness, grateful hearts, and a spirit of charity.

It is my hope that you join me in this new Thanksgiving tradition – and I cannot wait to see all your Turkey on the Tables! Please tag us on instagram if you decide to share yours!
